Anything But Typical by Nora Raleight Baskin
As a high functioning autistic boy Jason thrives at writing stories yet struggles communicating with his peers. HIs stories reflect some of his feelings and insecurities. He is part of an online storyboard community and his parents offer to take him to their annual convention. When his dad cancels his mom goes instead. I loved the relationships between Jason and his parents and brother. I loved the way Jason tries so hard to understand other people. This is a wonderful story.
